Pope Francis - Gone to be with the Father

After checking all the usual sources, it is with a heavy heart that I must admit that our beloved Pope Francis has died. He has been a great leader to the faith. He has also been very controversial - in my opinion is a very good thing as he made us all take a step back and think! Our Lord and Savior took him home on Easter Monday. 

" He taught us to live the values of the Gospel with faithfulness, courage, and universal love, especially in favor of the poorest and the marginalized." Cardinal Kevin Farrell said in the prepared statement. 

Condolences to his family and people at the Vatican who cared for him as well as the whole world....we have lost an amazing Pope and advocate for the poor and marginalized.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen
